Day Two: Calais to St. Sebastien

Missed breakfast, well not exactly missed it, but discovered we should have booked in the night before.

Another hot, sunny day.

Said our goodbyes to Paula, who went off to fill her car with wine and beer, before returning to England and hit the road.

Stopped at an Air for breakfast. The whole place was so clean, with decking outside and a large duck pond filled with carp, who surfaced and basked in the sunlight.

I slept fitfully for most of the journey, as did Si, being woken intermittently by the satnav.

Arrived around 6pm.

Tess and Suzie took an instant dislike to each other, with much growling and showing of teeth.

Tess took an instant shine to the three kittens - she didn't really know what to make of them, but they didn't growl, spit or hiss at her and she was dying to play with someone.

Squash - just jumped in the bedroom window for a sneaky fuss
